The heavy nuclear-powered missile cruiser (TARK) "Admiral Nakhimov" of project 1144.2M of the Russian Navy is a unique ship that has no analogues. This was written in a material for the 19FortyFive publication by observer Caleb Larson.
The publication's observer noted that "Nakhimov" represents a class of warships with nuclear-guided missiles that have no clear analogues in Western naval forces.
"Admiral Nakhimov" received huge offensive and defensive capabilities to counter various NATO formations, including aircraft carrier strike groups of the U.S. Navy.
The cruiser "Admiral Nakhimov" has been under repair since 1999. The main result of the cruiser's modernization will be strengthening its strike power.
The head of the "Sevmash" enterprise, Mikhail Budnichenko, stated that in the process of modernizing the "Admiral Nakhimov", new innovative and technological solutions were being implemented. On all issues, there was constant interaction between the Navy command with "Sevmash" and the United Shipbuilding Corporation.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Russian military began launching "Molniya" drones with a TM-62M mine from high-rise buildings.
