В Госдуме не планируют запрещать видеоигры

Parents, psychologists and teachers will be involved in the discussion of the bill

The State Duma of Russia continues to discuss the problem of destructive content in video games. This was announced by the Chairman of the lower house of parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin.

Parents, teachers, experts and psychologists are planned to be involved in future discussions of the bill.

A number of media resources have announced a possible complete ban on video games. I want to emphasize right away that this is not the case. The solution that we come to must necessarily be balanced.
Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma

It is worth noting that on January 10 of this year, the first deputy chairman of the constitutional committee of the Federation Council, Artem Sheikin, noted that the new bill may oblige all gaming services in Russia to identify users through the "Gosuslugi" portal, biometric data or phone number. The responsibility for organizing this identification will be assigned to the copyright holders of the games or other persons who have the right to distribute them in Russia.
