В ЦПК имени Гагарина проверяют работу робота-теледроида

The device will be used on the Russian segment of the ISS

The Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center has begun testing the operation of a tele-droid robot. The device is planned to be used on the ISS, ROS, and the Moon, according to Maxim Kharlamov, Head of the CTC.

The anthropomorphic tele-droid is designed to work in space. It can operate in two modes: automatic and teleoperated.

All information is transmitted to the operator on the control panel or VR headset. The robot operates on the basis of artificial intelligence. Upon receiving a command, it will be able to plan actions to execute it.

Also, as part of a new project, the CTC is testing a new robotic stand - an analogue of the tele-droid robot. They will assist astronauts in performing various tasks and conducting experiments.

The devices can be controlled from the CTC or remotely. In the future, robots will partially replace the crew.

Flight tests of the robot are scheduled for this year. The device will be sent to the Russian segment of the ISS.
