In Kemerovo, the High-Tech Prosthetics Center will begin its work in 2026. An agreement on this was reached between the Governor of Kuzbass, Ilya Seredyuk, Deputy General Director of Rostec, Maxim Vybornykh, and the head of JSC "Center for the Development of Innovative Technologies in Orthopedics," Viktor Spektor.
Our goal is to create a comprehensive assistance system for veterans.
According to him, the work will be organized so that they do not need to leave the region.
The center will consist of three blocks ranging from 2 to 6 floors in height. It is planned to include intensive care and resuscitation units, as well as a swimming pool, spa area, and salt room. It is designed for 98 patients.
In addition, a training center for personnel in the field of prosthetic and orthopedic care will be created in Novokuznetsk. It will serve the entire Siberian Federal District.
Representatives of Rostec and the Kemerovo Region Administration also discussed the possibility of organizing snowboarding and skiing lessons for veterans using specialized sports prostheses at the meeting.
