Video footage of the flight of the latest Russian "Molniya" fixed-wing drone has appeared online. The footage was published by the Telegram channel @infomil_live.
The drone has once again broken all records, visiting a territory 35 km from the nearest line of combat contact.
The UAV operates in FPV drone mode under operator control. At the same time, elements of artificial intelligence are integrated into the "Molniya", which help the drone find its target in conditions of electronic interference.
The "Molniya-2" is equipped with a catapult; a compressor creates pressure, and the system "blows" the drone into flight with a sharp burst of air. The UAV is controlled using a remote control and special goggles, just like controlling an FPV drone. Military personnel change their basing point with each new launch, which allows them to remain unnoticed by the enemy.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian fiber optic FPV drones have proven to be completely invulnerable to electronic warfare on the front lines. The new type of UAV does not require careful selection of position and is protected from video signal interception.
