Six Power Units of the Station to be Switched to Generation Mode

At the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), it is planned to replace foreign equipment with Russian and switch six power units of the station to generation mode. This was announced by the director of ZNPP, Yuri Chernichuk.

There is a lot of equipment at ZNPP that was manufactured abroad. By the way, even before the introduction of sanctions, our sites also used equipment that was manufactured in Europe and America.

In addition, all six power units of the ZNPP will be switched to generation mode. This will provide electricity to all regions of Novorossiya and Donbass, as well as the Republic of Crimea.

The station will not operate alone by itself. It will be one large system. At a minimum, it will definitely be enough for all the new regions and Crimea.
Yuri Chernichuk, Director of ZNPP

Work on preparing the station's units for transfer to generation mode will take place in 2025.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russian NPPs had completed the state task for electricity generation for 2024 ahead of schedule.
