На Урале появится «Сухой порт»: российская «Титановая долина» расширяется

Investments in new production facilities, a logistics complex, and a distribution center will amount to more than 10 billion rubles

The "Titanium Valley" special economic zone in the Sverdlovsk region will expand: the area of the new stage will be 121.5 hectares. The government approved the inclusion of the village of Patrushi in the Sysert district into the SEZ, as requested by Governor Evgeny Kuivashev.

This means that the Sverdlovsk region can now proceed to become the largest Russian logistics hub in the next five to seven years. The expansion of the SEZ will support the "Dry Port" project, which regional head Evgeny Kuivashev has repeatedly mentioned. As part of this mega-project, inland "berths" will appear in the region, which in the future will be able to connect with the sea berths of the Arctic ports of Yamal via the Meridian transport corridor.

As Kuivashev said in November 2024, speaking at a regular meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk region, the Center for Infrastructure Economics is already developing pre-project documentation at the request of the region. In the first quarter of 2025, the regional government will receive options for routing the transport framework and berths, as well as calculations of the economic effect and cargo flow forecasts. Kuivashev noted that preliminary calculations show great prospects for the export of coal and grain due to the opening of a transport corridor from the Persian Gulf to the ports of Yamal, which will pass through the Middle Urals. However, it is necessary to prepare transport and logistics facilities in the region to be able to receive and form cargo.

The new stage of the SEZ, which was approved by the government, will feature key facilities of the "Dry Port" worth more than 10 billion rubles. These are:

  • a modern innovative distribution center worth about 9.2 billion rubles;
  • an automated logistics complex worth 1.6 billion rubles;
  • a plant for the production of polymer and other materials worth 422 million rubles;
  • an enterprise producing perfumes and cosmetics, the launch of which will cost 200 million rubles;
  • a textile factory worth 505 million rubles.

All these investment projects are already, according to the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development, "in a high degree of readiness". When implemented, they will provide employment for more than 3,000 people.

production of perfumes and cosmetics and textile products. The total investment is estimated at more than 10 billion rubles, and it is planned to create over 3,000 jobs," said Dmitry Ionin, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region.
