Work on the locomotive has been underway for two years

The first experimental train for the high-speed railway (HSR) Moscow - St. Petersburg will be delivered in late 2026 - early 2027. This was announced by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov.

During 2028-2030, it is planned to produce about 30 trains for this line.

Both the design bureau and the company itself (Sinara Group) have made significant progress. And we expect to ensure and implement this project in a timely manner.

The high-speed electric train will consist of eight cars with the possibility of connecting two trains. The maximum achievable speed of the locomotive is 400 km/h, and the operational speed is 360 km/h. Passengers will be offered 4 classes of service.

The head of Russian Railways, Oleg Belozerov, also reported that the train will be equipped with a children's room, a kitchen with a bar, and an entertainment multimedia system, which will make the trip comfortable and convenient for passengers.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the train for the Moscow-St. Petersburg HSR, capable of accelerating to 400 km/h, was named "White Gyrfalcon".
