В МГТУ анонсировали третье поколение спортивного родстера «Крым»: автомобиль получит 200-сильный мотор

The car will feature an improved design and new functionalities

Students of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MSTU) will present a new generation of the "Crimea" sports roadster in 2025. This project, actively developed at the university, aims to create a two-seater car using units developed on the basis of VAZ, with an emphasis on affordability and low cost of components.

The third generation of the roadster will differ from previous models both in design and functionality. Instead of a spatial frame with round-section pipes, a sheet construction resembling a metal monocoque will be used. The body will change, turning the open-top roadster into a coupe. More expensive versions will have an automatic folding hardtop.

The roadster's engine is 1.6 liters, 16 valves, power is about 200 hp, which for a car weighing less than a ton will provide good dynamic characteristics.

The "Crimea" project supports inter-university cooperation, actively collaborating with other educational institutions in Russia and abroad within the Inter-University Student Technological Corporation (MSTC). It gives students the opportunity to develop alternative versions of the car, including hybrid and electric models.
