AvtoVAZ will begin pre-series assembly of the updated LADA Niva Sport before the end of December. Mass production of the car will begin in early 2025. This was announced in his Telegram channel by automotive journalist, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Za Rulem" Maxim Kadakov.
The Niva Sport is equipped with a 1.6-liter 122 hp engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, a reinforced rear axle, Lada Sport springs and shock absorbers, rear disc brakes, and 17-inch wheels. Later – I think, in the first half of 2025 – both Nivas will appear with an eight-valve 1.8-liter 90 hp engine.
Earlier it became known that AvtoVAZ produces a LADA car every 25 seconds. According to AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov, more than half a million cars will roll off the assembly line by the end of the year.
