The Indian Ministry of Defense noted that the ship will conduct joint patrols and exercises with the participation of the naval forces of a number of countries along the route.

Port calls and exercises are aimed at strengthening India's maritime cooperation with the coastal countries of the region and strengthening the Indian Navy's commitment to protecting and safeguarding navigation.

Project 11356 frigates have been developed since 1999. Three ships have already been built for the Russian Navy and six for the Indian Navy.

The main strike weapon of the frigates is one universal shipborne firing complex for eight missiles. In the domestic version of Project 11356, each frigate contains one universal shipborne firing complex for eight Kalibr-NK and/or Onyx missiles each.
