The new modification of the anti-aircraft missile and gun system (ZRPK) "Pantsir-SMD-E" can be installed on the roofs of buildings due to reduced weight. A feature of the latest installation is remote control, with one operator handling the control. It can be located, in particular, in a bunker, at a distance of up to 500 m, control is carried out via fiber optics. The module can be armed with 48 guided short-range drone intercept missiles.
The complex is equipped with mini-missiles to destroy drones and, unlike the "Pantsir-S1", does not have cannon armament.
