The modernized high-precision 2.1-Mach multi-purpose tactical missile Kh-38ML with a semi-active laser homing head and a circular probable deviation of no more than 1.5 m for the Su-34NVO fighter-bomber has significantly increased its range.
The projectile can be launched at a distance of more than 50 km to the target. The radius of the Kh-38ML when launched from altitudes of 10-12 km has increased from 45 to 75-80 km.
This became possible due to the optimization of the INS operation algorithms and flight path, the use of higher-impulse dual-mode solid-propellant rocket engine charges, as well as an increase in wing area.
