An additional batch of R-934UM2 automated jamming stations manufactured by KB Radar was transferred to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus. This is reported by Army Recognition with reference to the press service of the State Military-Industrial Committee of the Republic.
The systems are designed to detect, locate and suppress radio communication lines of ground and air basing. Their effectiveness against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is due to the power of the emitted signal and the height of the antennas.
R-934UM2, also known as "Groza-6", is part of the Groza series of electronic warfare (EW) systems. It affects VHF and UHF communication lines. The system includes a direction finder with an antenna-feeder system, 2 automated operator workstations and a 9-channel radio transmitter with 7 transmitting antennas.
The system operates in the frequency range from 30 to 3000 MHz. It can simultaneously jam up to 28 communication lines with a fixed frequency.
R-934UM2 is exported to the UAE, Azerbaijan and Libya. According to Army Recognition, the Groza-6 system can neutralize the threat from Bayraktar TB-2 and MQ-9 Reaper drones.
