Wildberries is starting to produce its own isothermal semi-trailers. This project will help the company reduce costs, improve logistics and strengthen control over the quality of goods delivery. This was reported by the press service of the united company Wildberries and Russ.

Creating its own semi-trailer production will allow Wildberries&Russ to significantly reduce dependence on external suppliers, reduce transportation costs and ensure the safety of transported goods. The semi-trailers will be equipped with modern cargo protection systems and structures that will ensure their reliability even in difficult operating conditions.
According to a Vedomosti source, the project will be implemented in three stages. At the first stage, technical specifications were developed and the production of an isothermal superstructure was organized.
At the second stage, starting in 2025, it is planned to launch the production of chassis for semi-trailers. At the third stage, the production of axle units will be mastered.
Initially, the production will be located in Lukhovitsy. Within the first year, it is planned to produce about 60 semi-trailers. As the project expands, production will be moved to another site - in Ryazan.
Prior to that, Wildberries and Russ began testing delivery of orders in newspaper kiosks. At the initial stage, this method of receiving purchases will be available in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh and Tver.
For orders that can be received in newspaper kiosks, there are certain restrictions: the maximum size of the parcel should not exceed 35 cm in length, 45 cm in width and 38 cm in height, the cost of the goods should not be more than 10,000 rubles.
Earlier, Russian Railways and Wildberries concluded an agreement on the joint development of digital services for passengers. The marketplace will start selling tickets.
