The AvtoVAZ plant reported that the production of the piston-connecting rod group for its engine model is limited only to the classic 1.7-liter 83 hp engine, which is installed on Lada Niva Legend and Niva Travel SUVs.
For all other VAZ models, the piston-connecting rod groups used are purchased from third-party suppliers.
It was previously reported that Lada Niva Legend and Niva Travel will receive a new 8-valve 1.8-liter engine with a capacity of 90 hp. This update is aimed at improving the characteristics of these cars, as well as increasing their attractiveness in the market.
