Turkey has revealed the results of testing the Russian S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems. The American F-16 fighter was detected at 600 km, that is, at the border of the radar station of this air defense system.
However, there is an important nuance - in order to detect an aircraft at a distance of 600 km by a radar located at a height of 5 m from the ground, the flight altitude must be more than 20 km.
Currently, combat aircraft attack at extremely low altitudes, which sometimes reaches 30-50 m. After launching missiles from such a distance, the aircraft will immediately go beyond the radio horizon.
S-400 Triumph is a long-range anti-aircraft missile system. It includes a combat control center, a transport-launching unit, a radar complex, a radar station and other optional equipment.
The complex is capable of hitting aerodynamic targets at an altitude of 10 m to 30 km and a distance of 2.5 to 380 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Russia's ability to shoot down the Peklo drone missile was assessed: it is slower than Storm Shadow or Neptune.
