The "Ruselectronics" holding, part of Rostec, announced the development of a new software module for predicting natural disasters such as storms, volcanic eruptions, and earthquakes. This module has become part of a complex for monitoring meteorological and ice conditions.
The main goal of the new software is to track and predict natural disasters based on hydrometeorological and geophysical data received from spacecraft. The module is capable of analyzing factors such as land and sea surface temperature, air flow velocity, earth crust movement, and other parameters, which allows predicting the probability of natural disasters such as storms, snow melting, and earthquakes.
The system works at the early stages of threat formation, which greatly facilitates the work of meteorologists and helps to signal potential dangers in advance. However, it does not completely replace human labor, but only helps specialists to analyze situations more effectively.
The software is in the debugging stage, and the equipment certification process is also being completed. It is expected that by the end of 2024, the system will be ready for delivery to the first customers.
