На Урале разработали дрон «Гаргулья»

The drone is planned for use in India, Turkey, and the UAE

The "Laboratory of the Future" company from the Urals has presented a new drone called "Gargoyle." The UAV is designed for aerial photography and monitoring of power lines (power transmission lines). This was announced by the commercial director of the company, Pavel Kamnev.

The drone consists of 60% domestic components, and the localization process is ongoing. "Gargoyle" is designed for flying around power line supports, assessing the condition of coupling hardware and insulators, and detecting corrosion and damage to connecting elements. The drone can be equipped with a Full HD camera with a tenfold optical zoom or a camera with a sixfold zoom with a thermal imager and a resolution of 4K.

Kamnev noted that the drone is planned to be used in hard-to-reach places (mountain ranges, water obstacles), where traditional survey methods are difficult and costly. "Gargoyle" will be used not only in Russia, but also in the UAE, India, and Turkey.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a wireless system for measuring current in power lines is being created in Veliky Novgorod.
