Sinhua: Russian and Chinese aircraft conduct strategic patrol over the Sea of Japan

Tu-95 and Xian H-6 bombers participate in the maneuvers

Russian Aerospace Forces and Chinese Air Force aircraft conducted a joint strategic patrol over the Sea of Japan in late November. This was the ninth such mission since 2019, according to Xinhua news agency.

The agency specified that the air patrol is part of military cooperation between Russia and China.

The purpose of this operation is to effectively verify and improve the joint training and operational capabilities of the two air forces.

The patrols include Tu-95 strategic bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces and Xian H-6 of the Chinese Air Force.
