The Sukhoi Design Bureau has made significant progress in the development of the fifth-generation light single-engine fighter Su-75 Checkmate. Foreign customers who are counting on reducing its cost have become interested in the aircraft, Eurasian Times writes.
The Su-75 is the first aircraft to be completely designed on a supercomputer. This means design in a relatively short time and at a lower cost compared to traditional experimental development.
Experts believe that mass production of the Su-75 will begin by 2030. In addition, developers may present other versions of the fighter with a number of design changes.
According to sources, the Su-75 will receive modern avionics, network-centric combat capabilities and advanced artificial intelligence.
