The construction of the high-speed railway (HSR-1) Moscow — St. Petersburg will increase the budget by 2.7 trillion rubles. This was announced by Vladimir Kosoy, President of the Center for Infrastructure Economics, at the "Transport of Russia" exhibition.
Such an increase is expected in the first 20 years of using HSR-1.
Dry calculations within the framework of this methodology show that this is one of the most effective infrastructure projects in general, of everything that is on the table today.
The total GDP growth will reach 10.5 trillion rubles. It was also noted that HSR-1 will increase labor productivity by 5%.
Since HSR allows you to connect points hundreds of kilometers apart, this connection gives an agglomeration effect, which leads to increased labor productivity.
It is worth noting that the highway between Moscow and St. Petersburg will be launched on April 1, 2028.
