JSC GLONASS has presented a prototype of a Russian hybrid tracker. It is designed for continuous transport monitoring and guaranteed transmission of emergency messages in the event of emergencies throughout Russia.
The device automatically switches between cellular and satellite communication channels, ensuring continuous transport monitoring and guaranteed transmission of emergency messages in the event of emergencies throughout Russia.
Thanks to the use of the capabilities of existing Russian satellites in geostationary orbit, the hybrid tracker can transmit information in areas where there is no cellular coverage.
As a reminder, in the first half of 2024, more than 900 thousand cars were connected to the ERA-GLONASS state information system, which is twice the figure for the first half of last year.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the ERA-GLONASS State Information System now carries out monitoring of forestry equipment in Russia. The first 600 vehicles have already passed the test period, during which data was transmitted to the FGIS of the Forest Complex in three regions of the country.
