Sollers announced an increase in the localization of parts at the presentation of its products. According to the Telegram channel "Avtopotok", by the end of 2024, it is planned to produce 8,000 six-speed transmissions at ZMZ. By the end of 2026, their production will be increased sixfold.
The goal for the next two years is to reach a volume of 50,000 units. At 70,000 [units], it will be profitable for external suppliers to localize shafts, gears, and bearings.
In the summer of 2024, Sollers localized the production of aluminum gearbox housings at the RosALit facilities. In addition to Sollers Argo, these gearboxes are expected to appear on other Sollers and UAZ models in the future.
