600 Units of Forestry Equipment Connected to the Russian "ERA-GLONASS" System

The experiment is successful - and now they are thinking of scaling it up to the whole of Russia

The Russian state information system "ERA-GLONASS" now also tracks forestry equipment. The first 600 vehicles under observation have already completed a test period for data transmission to the Federal State Information System of the Forest Complex in three regions.

RIA «Novosti», referring to the General Director of «GLONASS» Alexey Raikevich, notes that the project «confirmed the efficiency and ease of use», and now the forest fire system will also be connected to the state information system for monitoring and turnover of wood.

The experiment covered three regions – Arkhangelsk, Ulyanovsk and Kostroma regions. I am sure that the successful experience will be quickly scaled up to the whole country.

Currently, more than 300 thousand vehicles have already been connected to the transport monitoring platform based on the "ERA-GLONASS" state information system in all regions of Russia. Also, garbage trucks in Russia may soon be added to the system to monitor where and how they take out solid waste.
