The Russian frigate "Admiral Golovko" (project 22350), developed and built in St. Petersburg, has entered the English Channel, which is located between the coasts of France and the United Kingdom, the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) press service reported.
"Admiral Golovko" has already crossed the narrowest part of the strait - the Pas-de-Calais. The frigate left the main base of the Northern Fleet - Severomorsk and set off on a long voyage on November 2.
During this time, the ship has traveled more than 1,500 nautical miles. The crew of the "Admiral Golovko" conducted exercises to protect and defend the frigate in the waters of the Barents, Norwegian and North Seas.

"Admiral Golovko" was built at the "Severnaya Verf" plant in St. Petersburg according to the project of the Northern Design Bureau (part of the USC). The frigate is equipped with hypersonic anti-ship missiles "Zircon". It was commissioned and put into service with the Russian Navy in December 2023.
