The engineering building of the unfinished subway station in Omsk has been decided to be included in the regional privatization program. The corresponding decision was made by the governor of the region, Vitaly Khotsenko. The order appeared on the legal information portal.
According to the document, the cost of the unfinished construction object with an area of 17.9 thousand square meters on Frunze Street is 249.4 million rubles. Authorities expect it to be bought out at auction by the end of the year.
The subway in Omsk began to be built in 1993. It was expected that the first section would be completed in 2016, but due to funding problems, it was not completed. Only a metro bridge appeared near the site.
In 2017, the authorities decided to mothball the project, which, together with the metro bridge, cost the city 14 billion rubles. Later, the underground passage of the station began to be used as a street museum. Local artists were exhibited here.
