The Ministry of Defense showed a video of the Yars missile being loaded into a silo near Kozelsk

The Russian Ministry of Defense has shown footage of the process of loading a Yars intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) into a silo launcher.

The video shows a special transport vehicle carrying the missile along the road. Then the container with the ICBM is lifted vertically, and the missile is placed in the silo. Yars has taken up combat duty in the Kozelsk formation of the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN).

The missile's caliber is 1.86 m, and its length is 17.8 m. The missile's launch weight is 46,000 kg, and the payload weight is 1,250 kg. The range of the weapon is up to 10,000 km, while the missile operates on solid fuel.

Earlier www1.ru wrote that the Russian Navy will receive the first combat icebreaker Ivan Papanin with Kalibr and Uran missiles in the summer of 2025. The ship was built at the Admiralty Shipyards.
