At the Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics SB RAS, an accelerated version of a contactless 3D scanner of objects will be presented in 2025. This was announced by Vladislav Zuev, a research engineer at the institute.
Currently, the device allows making one measurement in three seconds. This figure is planned to be increased.
We want the scanner to make more than ten measurements per second. This will be a high-speed system that will allow controlling fast-flowing processes.
The main function of the scanner is to reconstruct the three-dimensional profile of an object. The device scans it at a distance and receives a set of points with coordinates in space.
The scanner also allows controlling deformation, for example, of an aircraft blade. It is necessary to scan the initial surface, and then, after strength tests, repeat this action. The scanner will record any changes, which will speed up the recovery process.
The prototype scanner allows fixing the growth of ice floes with an accuracy of up to a millimeter and automatically sending a signal about their appearance. This function is important when working with wind generators in the Arctic and in the field of aviation.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Russian scanner from Smart Engines will check documents in the optical, UV and IR spectra.
