The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation stated that almost 90% of elevator equipment in the country is produced by domestic enterprises. State support measures are in place for Russian companies.
Localization of elevator equipment is at a high level. This is especially true for products intended for the elevator market, used in the framework of capital repair programs for apartment buildings.
The ministry explained that this became possible due to the departure of foreign companies from the Russian market. The vacated niche was occupied by domestic manufacturers.
The government has allocated more than 500 million rubles for research and development work to create gearless winches for elevators with a speed of more than 2 m/s, control systems, and the main elevator drive.
The following elevator components are currently produced in Russia:
- control system
- winch
- cable
- buffer
- hoistway door locks
- catcher
- speed limiters
- cabin door drive
- elevator car
