Версия 5.0: «Студия Артемия Лебедева» выпустила новую схему метро Москвы

One of the main innovations is the new transfer symbol

"Art. Lebedev Studio" has presented an updated map of the Moscow Metro, which will soon replace the existing one at stations and in subway cars. One of the main innovations is a new transfer symbol that visually resembles a dumbbell.

The studio noted that the old designations no longer meet current requirements. Now, stations with the same name are marked with a circle with a recognizable gradient, reflecting the colors of the metro lines, which should simplify navigation for passengers. The images of the circle lines have also been changed.

Representatives of the studio emphasized that the need for the update is due to the rapid development of the Moscow transport system. Since 2011, 240 kilometers of tracks have been built and modernized, and 115 stations have been opened, and the growth rate continues to increase. Version 5.0 of the map, they say, is designed to maintain convenience and clarity for passengers against the backdrop of these changes.

Meanwhile, some readers noted that the new map no longer reflects the latest innovations. It lacks the Troitskaya line and the "Potapovo" station, which began operating in September of this year.
