Specialists from Atomenergo remont have completed repairs on two power units of the Akademik Lomonosov Floating Nuclear Power Plant (FNPP) in Pevek, Chukotka. This was reported by the press service of Rosenergoatom Concern.

In June, power unit No. 1 was taken out for routine maintenance, where the work was completed a day ahead of schedule. From June 22, a planned mid-life repair of unit No. 2 was carried out, including the replacement of three internal devices of the PG28 steam generator.

Repairmen applied a protective layer to the turbine rotor blades using the Kolchuga electric spark alloying technology. This technology was used for the first time at the FNPP. The work was carried out jointly with specialists from Kolatomenergo remont and Uralatomenergo remont.
