The production of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) designed to test airport equipment that ensures the landing and takeoff of aircraft has been established in the Chelyabinsk region. This was announced by Mikhail Knaub, Minister of Industry, New Technologies and Natural Resources of the region.
The development is innovative for Russia.
Currently, the production of import-substituting unmanned aerial vehicles has been successfully established in the Chelyabinsk region. Today we can also say that we have mastered the production of innovative unmanned aircraft systems designed to test electronic navigation systems used for landing and takeoff of aircraft.
According to Mikhail Knaub, UAS simplify and reduce the cost of checking the operation of equipment at the airport. They make several flights instead of an airplane.
