The company "NPK Simba" is preparing to launch the production of lithium-ion batteries for personal mobility devices (PMD). This was announced by the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIIPP), Anatoly Garbuzov.
The new resident of the Moscow Special Economic Zone at the "Pechatniki" site will organize the production of lithium-ion batteries for small electric vehicles: electric bicycles, scooters, and hoverboards. Investments in the project, which is expected to create about twenty jobs, will exceed one hundred million rubles.
The first phase of production will be launched this year. The expected annual output is 60 thousand battery units.
The second phase of the project is scheduled for 2028. The production target is planned to be increased to 125 thousand units per year.
