There is no and will be no all-wheel drive on the Lada Vesta: AvtoVAZ named the reason

Production of all-wheel drive passenger cars in the budget segment is unprofitable

Representatives of AvtoVAZ explained why the Lada Vesta does not and will not have an all-wheel drive system. In the budget segment, the production of such cars is unprofitable due to low demand.

Even foreign manufacturers did not offer such an option in the budget segment. In different years, the possibility of adding all-wheel drive was considered, but there was always an understanding that this is an unaffordable luxury for inexpensive cars. AvtoVAZ stated that adding all-wheel drive would require significant costs.

Interestingly, Quto.ru reported that new models are planned to be produced on the B/C platform from Lada Vesta - a crossover (HGH project) and a minivan (RGH project), but they will not have all-wheel drive either. Currently, the architecture involves the use of a semi-independent rear suspension, and this scheme will likely remain unchanged in the future.

Earlier www1.ru reported that AvtoVAZ has started production of bodies for the latest LADA Niva Legend Sport model. A specialist manually welds the necessary brackets in the engine compartment and reinforces the bottom.
