Hackers stole 4.5 thousand gift certificates of "Children's World". This is stated in the materials of the case of the Investigative Committee of Russia (IC RF).
Attackers hacked the website of "Children's World" and committed the theft.
During such connections, using computer programs deliberately designed to neutralize computer information protection tools, they selected values in the form of a number and PIN code to 4459 prepaid electronic gift certificates and gift cards of PJSC "Children's World" stored in electronic form, that is, electronic media certifying the right of their holder to make a purchase of goods.
Bypassing security measures allowed hackers to gain access to prepaid cards. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 159.6 (Fraud in the field of computer information) and Part 2 of Article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Use of malicious computer programs).
