VTB Chairman Vadim Kulik believes that the use of such a tool should be mandatory for all banks. It is emphasized that payment using a universal QR code can be made in stores that have switched to the updated format.

As a reminder, 22 banks are currently participating in this pilot project. In addition, a consortium of Alfa-Bank, T-Bank and Sber are developing their own universal QR code.
