The main Russian arms concern Kalashnikov is participating in the large-scale International Defense Industry Exhibition ADEX 2024, which takes place on September 24–26 in Baku. The developments were shown to the country's military leadership.
President of Kalashnikov Alan Lushnikov showed the best weapons samples to the Minister of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan, Vugar Valekh oglu Mustafayev. Among them were the RPL-20 5.45 mm caliber belt-fed machine gun, as well as the KUB-E strike drone, and the SKAT 350 M drone.
He was also shown the line of AK-12, AK-15, AK-19 and AK-19 assault rifles, the Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun, and the Chukavin sniper rifle (СВЧ). Mustafayev was also interested in the products of the Research Institute of Steel — dynamic protection of armored vehicles, and the "Nakidka" protective material for tanks.
The stand featured products from the Rybinsk Shipyard. In particular, the "БК" special-purpose boats and the "Khaska-10" air-cushion vessel.
The head of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, Zakir Asker oglu Hasanov, was present at the ADEX 2024 site. He examined the GP-46 under-barrel grenade launcher with interest. The minister paid special attention to Kalashnikov assault rifles in a short-barreled version.
