The Russian company Smart Engines has trained artificial intelligence (AI) to quickly read utility meter readings. This was reported in the press service of the development company.
The new development will save users from having to manually record readings. AI also transmits all data to the bank's application for quick payment.
The accuracy and speed of its operation are ensured through the use of ultra-light neural networks created by Smart Engines scientists. Their execution does not require powerful graphics processors and is performed locally on the user's device without transmission to the server.
The neural network recognizes photos on several meters at once. The user does not need to specifically bring the camera closer to the devices, the system is not demanding on the quality of shooting.
All readings are recognized automatically in 0.1 seconds. The development has already found application in leading Russian banks.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in Russia created a digital assistant for automatic data collection in housing and communal services.
