Тanks T-72
Production of T-72 in India began in the eighties at a factory in Avadi. At the same time, about 500 tanks were purchased from the USSR. In the 2000s, the company began producing modernized T-90s.
According to Indian Defence News, if the T-72 modernization program is successful, it will be extended to IFVs. In this way, India will diversify its fleet of military equipment and be able to earn money from its resale.
