The Avtotor electric motor plant cost more than 3 billion rubles. It was created and launched with the привлечением средств Фонда развития промышленности (ФРП) within the framework of a special investment contract (SPIC) between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the government of the Kaliningrad region and Avtotor Holding LLC.
It is planned to produce 60 thousand electric motors with a capacity of 23 kW to 140 kW per year for various types of passenger electric transport. At full load, the company will employ more than 140 people.
