Rosneft has developed a new hydrodynamic simulator "RN-KIM." This was reported by the company's press service.
The device will allow predicting oil production volumes. The developers have expanded the functionality of the simulator. This will make it possible to model well operations with hydraulic fracturing (HF) fractures, taking into account the complex geometry and features of fluid flow in the fracture.
A function for modeling the dissolution of natural salt contained in the rock has been added to the upgraded version of the software. Taking into account this physical phenomenon allows you to choose the most effective method of field development, since injecting water to displace oil increases the permeability of the rock and affects the mineralization of the produced products.
The new model works in integration with the corporate geomechanical simulator "RN-SIGMA." This approach has made it possible to take into account the effects associated with changes in the state of the oil reservoir during oil production.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in Perm they came up with a way to accelerate the production of oil with increased viscosity.
