The modernization of the Russian mini-quadcopter 400T UAV with a domestic thermal imager has increased the probability of detecting and hitting enemy targets on the front line from 50% to 90%. This was announced by Vitaly Serov, General Designer of the manufacturing company Astron.
We are not allowed to disclose the exact number of drones used, but today there are hundreds of devices. We managed to improve and stabilize the image. The probability of detection and defeat by dropping increased from approximately 50% to 90%. Currently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, on behalf of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, is carrying out activities to purchase components for FPV drones.
According to him, work on improving the drone's characteristics continues on a daily basis. Serov noted that robotic and unmanned systems are developing towards automatic continuous navigation, greater autonomy of movement and task execution, target tracking and all-weather capture.
