Четыре года — полёт нормальный: «РЕШЕТНЁВ» рассказал о работе спутников «Экспресс-80» и «Экспресс-103»

Они смогут прослужить России ещё двенадцать лет

Both satellites were developed and manufactured by Reshetnev specialists based on their own universal Express-1000N platform. They were launched on July 31, 2020.

The launch on July 31, 2020, into geostationary orbit was carried out using a boosting technology – after separation from the launch vehicle, the spacecraft moved to their designated positions using their electric propulsion systems. Currently, Express-80 and Express-103 operate in the orbital constellation of the national operator FSUE "Kosmicheskaya Svyaz", located at 80° and 96.5° east longitude, respectively.

The satellites provide high-quality television and radio broadcasting, broadband internet access, data transmission, telephony, and communication services for mobile objects.

Reshetnev specialists note that their satellites also help to eliminate the digital divide. They will be able to serve Russia for a long time: the guaranteed active lifespan of both "Express" satellites is 15 years.
