The start of production of the premium sedan from AvtoVAZ — LADA Aura was postponed from the third quarter of 2024 to the fourth. This was announced by the president of AvtoVAZ Maxim Sokolov.
Very soon, in the next quarter of this year, another new modern car – LADA Aura – will roll off the AvtoVAZ assembly line.
The top manager did not specify what caused the postponement. Perhaps the assembly line in Togliatti will not have time to prepare for the start of production. The AvtoVAZ employees wanted to do this during the company's vacation from July 29 to August 18, when the assembly lines will be stopped.
As a reminder, LADA Aura is an extended Vesta. In the premium version, the car will be equipped with a 122-horsepower 1.8-liter engine and a Chinese variator. This car will be designed mainly for officials. There will also be a simpler version. It will be equipped with a 109-horsepower engine and a manual gearbox. It will be offered to taxi fleets.
