The Russian company HiderX has launched mass production of the latest "invisibility suits" that protect against FPV drones equipped with thermal imagers. Such equipment provides a tactical advantage, writes The Eurasian Times.
Protective suits are important for night operations, as they allow soldiers to move around unnoticed. The need for "invisibility suits" in the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces is due to the increasing number of enemy drones with thermal imagers that can see the thermal signatures of a target at a distance of 100-200 m.
At the same time, the Russian developer did not disclose what materials were used to create the camouflage suit. The Eurasian Times referred to military analyst Rebecca Koffler, who explained the principle of operation of the "invisibility suit."
The material consists of three layers: an inner layer that reflects infrared (IR) radiation from the human body; a middle layer that absorbs IR radiation; and an outer layer that reflects IR radiation from the external environment.
Russia has bet on camouflage suits for military personnel, as they can provide an advantage in combat, according to journalists at The Eurasian Times.
