A set of video recording, voice and video information transmission equipment was developed jointly by specialists from the Roscosmos Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Operation Center (TsENKI) and the Yaroslavl Radio Plant. It will be installed on a new space special transport: a complex of landing areas and primary servicing of the return vehicle (KRPPOVA).
The kit includes satellite, radio and telecommunications equipment. It will be responsible for:
- photographic and video recording of technological operations in the landing area of the return vehicle, with the possibility of transmitting a live video signal via Russian retransmission satellites in various digital broadcasting standards;
- receiving, recording and storing crew negotiations with the search and rescue team;
- providing technological mobile radio communications, using DMR Tier 2 technology, for KRPPOVA personnel while traveling to the landing site and at the landing site of the return vehicle.
Almost all components of the video communication complex are Russian.
