Specialists from the "Golden Nose" company (resident of the "Zhigulevskaya Dolina" technopark) have developed an application for finding missing animals. The novelty works on the basis of artificial intelligence (AI) and searches for pets by the unique print of its nose tip.
All dogs have a unique pattern on their nose. It does not change from two months of age. The new application uses a neural network to create an animal passport based on the rhinarium (the tip of the dog's nose, where there is no fur).
To contact the dog's owner, you need to take a photo of its nose and upload it to the application. The search will be carried out through a database of such images stored in the program.
The developers emphasized that the new method will avoid branding and chipping animals. The creators of the application also plan to supplement it with recommendations from veterinarians and the vaccination history of pets.
Earlier www1.ru reported that in Russia created a mechanism for monitoring the well-being of domestic pets.
