Russian scientists have created automatic traps. They are necessary to determine the composition of pests in the fields. This is a development of the Novosibirsk State Agrarian University.

They are dropped on the field using a drone, and collected a day later. Three such devices are needed per hectare of land. They consist of three modules with replaceable cartridges and a navigation unit.

The university's press service emphasizes that farmers around the world are fighting pests with various agrochemicals. Because of this, insects that do not harm crops are dying. Monitoring with pest traps can solve this problem.
