Опустит с небес на землю: карманный подавитель дронов разработали в России

The device is intended for infantry units, artillery crews, and evacuation teams

A miniature drone jammer designed to suppress drone control channels has been developed in Russia. The device is called "Pocket," and the developer is the "Laboratory 13" design bureau.

Engineers explained that the new product can operate in autonomous and automatic modes, using control signals from the "Oko-P" drone detector. According to the idea, the jammer's dimensions are no larger than a radio station, and it can be put in your pocket. The product will soon be finalized, and after repeated tests, mass production will begin.

The jammer is intended for infantry units, artillery crews, and evacuation teams. The advantages of "Pocket" are its size and budget price — up to 30 thousand rubles.

It was tested on the front line a week ago. An FPV drone lost control at 150 m, a Mavic hovered in place at a distance of 200 m from the product. The jammer is currently being refined based on feedback from testers. The main request is to make the case less noticeable. We used an aluminum case to dissipate heat from the amplifier and be shockproof, but it glares in the sun and reveals its position.

The bureau also noted that in the future it is planned to develop a line of "Pocket" jammers for different suppression frequency ranges - 700, 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz.

Earlier it became known that the Russian heavy flamethrower system TOS-1A "Solntsepek" on the front line received additional two-tier protection to the standard anti-cumulative anti-drone "visors."
